Episode 9: “Hurricane Michael”

On this episode of “No Dams Given,” Tripp and Billy welcome Fernando Jackson, nicknamed “Farmer Fredo,” onto the show. Farmer Fredo is the executive director of Flint River Fresh. This discussion occurs in the wake of Hurricane Michael, which actually hit Albany in October of 2018. Farmer Fredo explains the devastation of the storm, especially how it has affected agriculture in Southwest GA. Billions of dollars in agriculture production were devastated in that event. Farmer Fredo tells us where we are and how we can help our farming neighbors pull themselves out of this kind of disaster.
