Episode 4: “Community Consciousness and Sanitary Systems: Part I”

On this episode of “No Dams Given,” Tripp and Billy meet with Gordon Rogers, Executive Director of “River Keepers,” and Matt Fuller and Bob Langstaff, members of the Albany City Commission. Infrastructure is key for a city’s survival. Unfortunately, Albany is a 21st city that still utilizes a 1920s sewage system. Mr. Rogers, along with the city’s commissioners, explain why this issue of sewage removal is critical and how changing the system is possible. Our guests explain how we got here and how we can fix the problem. Important for citizens of our city, along with anyone who in interested in a clean way for fighting diseases, as we are one of a handful of systems that has not changed our sewage system in accordance with the law.
